Shri Hari Temple

The Shri Hari Temple(also known as Hari Mandir) is a highly-rated Hindu temple in Model Town, Bareilly, dedicated primarily to Lord Krishna. Baba Tapeshwar Nath ji Mandir

The temple holds significant religious importance, with a history rooted in the penance of several ancient sages and saints, including one known as ‘Bhalu Das Baba’ who meditated in a cave at the site for 400 years. It is believed that Lord Shiva was pleased by their devotion and chose to reside there, leading to the name Tapeshwarnath (“Lord of Penance”). The area around the temple was once a place where the Ganges River flowed, evidenced by the sandy soil still found there.

Shri baba Dhopeshwar Nath ji Temple

The temple is a sprawling spiritual complex considered one of Bareilly’s seven sacred “Nath” temples, with a history believed to be around 5,000 years old, tracing back to the Mahabharata era. Legend has it that Draupadi and Dhrishtadyumna were born on this site with the blessings of Lord Shiva. The complex features multiple shrines, a cave temple, and a large sacred pond (Dhopa Sarovar), the water of which is believed to have medicinal properties.

Shree Baba Alakhnath Temple

Shree Baba Alakhnath Temple is an ancient and significant Hindu temple in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, dedicated to Lord Shiva and serving as the main akhara (headquarters) of the Anand Akhara order of Naga sannyasins. The primary deity is Lord Shiva, represented by a sacred Shivling, but the complex also features shrines to other deities, including a 51-foot tall statue of Lord Hanuman at the main entrance and a Shani temple.
