A Dalit man in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly was assaulted and humiliated by three local goons for asking to return the money he once lent. The goons allegedly shaved his head, eyebrows, cut his moustache, and smeared mud on his face. In addition to these, the trio also made a video of his humiliation and uploaded it on social media. The incident occurred nearly a month ago. Pappu Diwakar, who was assaulted by the three, had been living in one of the accused, Chandrasen’s house in Bairelly for the last few months. In his complaint to the local police, he stated that Chandrasen borrowed four and a half lakh rupees to purchase a tractor.
