
Uttar Pradesh police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against Farman Raza Khan, son of jailed Bareilly-based cleric Maulana Tauqeer Raza, following the recovery of drugs after his car rammed into a state roadways bus late on Tuesday night.
The accident occurred on National Highway 24 in the Tilhar area, when Farman’s Verna car collided with a stationary roadways bus from the Sitapur depot. Police said the impact was severe, leaving the car completely damaged and causing both airbags to deploy. Farman, who was driving the car, escaped with minor injuries.
